Check the letter to see which items are
approved. Any item listed as approved on
the kosher letter is approved even if it
does not bear a store kosher decal. The
sorbets are kosher DE --they have no
dairy ingredients, but are manufactured
on dairy equipment.

Company, Panarama, was under
reliable supervision. The supervision
was discontinued about three months ago.
We no longer recommend using the
product, even with a "K" or a "KVH" on
the box. The product was often sold at
Sam's Club.
Starbucks
brewed
coffees generally have no additives and
can be purchased from any Starbucks
without certification. Starbucks now
sells pre-packaged instant coffee,
called VIA. Some of these products are
flavored and require supervision. At
this time they are not certified and are
not recommended
Children's Liquid Tylenol and Motrin produced in the United States were acceptable. Due to a recent recall the only Tylenol and Motrin available are from Canada and contain glycerine from non-kosher beef and pork. Some acceptable alternatives include: a. Chewable tablets which typically do not contain glycerine (although they may contain other ingredients which are kosher-sensitive). b. Triaminic Fever Reducer Pain Reliever Syrup with the OU. c. Any other liquid medicine that does not contain glycerine should be acceptable. This includes Tylenol Extra Strength Rapid Blast Liquid for Adults - Cherry Flavor.
Now and Later candies are not kosher. There was a Now and Later Product that was kosher when bearing an OU. This product was discontinued in 2005. At present all Now and Laters come from a non-kosher facility out of the country.
All products bearing the kosher symbol of "WK" are now under OU supervision and are acceptable.
There are two new approved sodas: Seagram's Raspberry Ginger Ale and Solar Fusion by Sunkist. |
